Bell Canada is now offering two services to help IT departments monitor the security posture of their cloud-based platforms.
Cloud Security Posture Assessment (CSPA) involves Bell employees examining an organization’s assets in the cloud for existing security gaps. A Tool – That Takes Advantage Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma Cloud – Scans and locates assets and their configuration information, which is then analyzed and compared to customer-specified standards and Cloud Security Alliance’s Cloud Control Matrix, a set of industry standards for cloud security assurance and compliance. Generated reports that identified gaps in security configuration and compliance with standards and recommended actions to IT staff.
The second new offering, Cloud Security Posture Protection (CSPP), is a managed service that provides continuous insight, visibility and management of security for workloads or distributed applications from public clouds. This ensures that all cloud services are properly configured in all environments with active alerts, Bell says.
No pricing details were announced.
“With enterprise data moving to the public cloud, proper configuration is one of the biggest challenges for companies, and protecting and protecting that data is critical,” said Ranjita Singh, Bell’s senior vice president of product, innovation and services. “Delivers extraordinary capabilities for organizations to manage this, with the personalized insights they gain from the support of Bel Palo Alto Networks’ Assessments application.”
Ankur Shah, Palo Alto Networks’ senior vice president for Prisma Cloud, said in a statement that the traditional approach to securing complex cloud environments revolves around stitching together multiple point products, which lack the elements needed for true comprehensive cloud security. What’s missing: Real-time visibility and prevention first. “We are thrilled to partner with one of Canada’s largest enterprises on their cloud journey to demonstrate the depth and scalability of Prisma Cloud, and why an integrated approach to cloud security is the best way forward,” he added.
