Canada’s largest book chain is back online, but shoppers can still buy products only in stores.

Indigo Books And Music Reopened my website today, nine days After being a victim of cyber attack, However, it is window-shop only. A statement on the site reads, “This is our temporary online home where you can browse our great selection of bestselling books and our edit of lifestyle products.”

Nor can users make purchases through the Indigo mobile app.

An FAQ page reiterates what the company has been saying for days: Customer credit and debit card information was not compromised in the attack. IndiGo does not store complete credit card or debit card numbers in its systems.

“At this time, we can share that our investigation has not found any indication that the recent cyber security incident may have compromised customer data,” the statement said. “If at any point in the future we determine that personal data has been compromised, we commit to contacting those directly affected.”

The company has not said whether employee information was compromised.

There is no estimate of when online shopping will resume. The website says, “Please check back daily for updates and progress.”

Stores are now accepting cash, debit, credit and gift card transactions.
