Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma visited Bhavish Agarwal’s Ola office on Monday. Sharma shared a picture with Agarwal in front of Ola e-bikes at the Ola campus. He also shared a picture of a plaque signage with motivational quotes.
In a tweet, Sharma said, “What I saw at Ola today is inspiring. Congratulations to @bhash and team. I am sure you will make our country proud.
Responding to this, Aggarwal thanked Sharma. “Good to see you Vijay and thanks for the inspiration! The future belongs to India!! He said.
In the second picture that Sharma shared, one can see a motivational quote like “If you are going to dream, make it impossible. And then, get it done”, “If you’re traveling new paths, be prepared to do it alone”, “If you’re proud of where you’re from, Be proud of”.
Agarwal’s optimism in the India story came when he announced in October that the company would be rolling out EV products in commuter scooters, motorbikes, sports bikes and other two-wheeler categories over the next 12 months. He added that the company will ensure that everyone who buys an ICE vehicle today has a better EV option to choose from in the years to come.
They also announced the S1 Air which comes with a 4.5km hub motor, 2.5kwh battery pack and a top speed of 85kmph which gives a range of 100km in eco mode. It will be launched for Rs 84,999 and the purchase window will open in February 2023 and deliveries will start from April 2023.
