Massive fire in Old Delhi’s Bhagirath Palace electronic market; major part of building damaged

A massive fire broke out in Old Delhi’s Bhagirath Palace Electronic Market on Thursday. According to officials, around 40 fire tenders were present at the spot and the work of dousing the fire was underway.

Atul said, “The situation is not very good right now. 40 fire engines are at the spot. The fire will be doused by morning. No casualty has been reported so far. A major part of the building has been damaged.” ” Delhi Fire Service Director Garg said on Thursday.

Former Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, ‘Efforts are being made to extinguish the fire. Fire officials and police are on the spot. The fire has not yet been controlled. Two floors have been damaged. There is no information about any casualty. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.”

According to the fire department, a fire call was received at 9.19 pm and 30 fire engines were pressed into action.

Preliminary investigation suggested that the fire started from a shop and spread to the adjacent shops in the market.

The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
