The combined market capitalization of eight stocks at the start of the calendar did not exceed Rs 100 crore. Today, they have a combined m-cap of up to Rs 1,850 crore, shows data compiled from corporate database AceEquity.
Penny stock Kaiser Corporation surged 1,987.81 per cent or 21 times to Rs 58.25 per piece from Rs 2.79 per piece on December 31. The company is engaged in printing activities and mainly undertakes printing for small and medium corporate companies.
The penny stock Hemang Resources surged 1,731 per cent or 18.3 times to Rs 74.71 from the level of Rs 3.09. The company is engaged in trading of Imported Coal, Meghalaya Coal and Indigenous Coal.
Another penny stock Alliance Integrated Metallics rose by Rs 2.71 to Rs 41.90 per piece, up 1,448.98 per cent. Alliance Integrated Metallics is engaged in the manufacture of steel and concentrates in the manufacturing of specialty steel and alloy products.
Shares of tour operator S&T Corporation surged 1,425 per cent or 15.25 times to Rs 332.60 from Rs 21.80 level. This company organizes various domestic and international tours for individual travelers and groups. It also develops a real estate projects.
Energy meter maker RMC Switchgears gained 1,136 per cent or 12.36 times to Rs 288 from Rs 23.30. The company provides junction boxes, feeder pillars and other power distribution and circuit protection switchgear.
KBS India, Sejal Glass and IFL Enterprises were the other three stocks which rallied over 1000 per cent so far this calendar. KSB India provides wealth management services. Sejal Glass provides value added glass for exterior and interior applications including decorative glass. The company also entered into insurance broking and finance businesses.
