Nykaa’s Pink Friday sale clocks 8 lakh orders on Day 1; most orders from tier 2 and tier 3 cities

Online beauty and fashion retailer Nykaa on Friday said that its annual beauty sale ‘Pink Friday’ recorded eight lakh orders on the first day. ,

According to the company, purchases of makeup, skincare and haircare have increased 14x, 12x and 9x respectively.

Interestingly, 57 per cent of purchases were made by buyers from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities collectively. Additionally, the company claimed that the first day of the sale saw over 10 million visits, a 37 percent increase from last year’s Pink Friday.

It added, “Apart from metros, the highest number of orders came from Lucknow, Chandigarh, Ghaziabad, Jaipur, Guwahati and Jammu.”

The omnichannel consumer-tech company claims that the multiple brand offers have led to a 34% increase in unique visitors to Nykaa, from 4.3 million on the first day last year to 5.8 million this year.

A Nykaa spokesperson said, “The phenomenal consumer response to our Pink Friday Sale on Day 1, right after a successful festive season, reiterates our leadership in beauty.

“Along with unique deals, our unique curation and interactive experiences such as watch and shop have driven extremely high engagement. Amplified by enthusiastic buying for the ongoing wedding season, the sale saw luxury brands and makeup line our endless aisles a significantly higher rate than on non-sale days. Overall, we are seeing that our offers are being well received by consumers and we look forward to offering them the best deals during Pink Friday,” the spokesperson said.

The Pink Friday Sale is live till November 28 on the website, app and at Nykaa stores.
