Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said on Tuesday that India would see an “unprecedented explosion” in economic growth in the coming decades and become a $40 trillion economy by 2047.
Speaking at a convocation, he said, “India will witness an unprecedented explosion in economic growth and opportunities. From a $3-trillion economy, India will become a $40 trillion economy by 2047, ranking among the top 3 economies of the world.” ” Celebration of Pandit Deendayal Energy University of Gujarat.
His remarks come at a time when India has emerged as the world’s fastest growing large economy with a GDP growth rate of over 7 per cent. China, the only large country that has experienced massive growth over the past decades, is projected to grow at 3.2 percent in 2022 and 4.4 percent in 2023, while India will grow by more than 6 percent.
Earlier this week, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said that India will be the world’s third largest economy before 2030 and second largest by 2050.
Today Ambani shared three mantras with the graduates to achieve success in life. He said that the university’s graduates have all the necessary ingredients to become the leaders India needs.
“And as future leaders of India, you must ensure that our country leads the global clean and green energy revolution. It is a goal that each one of you must pursue in mission mode. I am with you 3 Let me share the mantras that will help you achieve success in this mission,” he said.
Ambani then listed three mantras which are Think Big, Think Green and Think Digital. He asked the fresh graduates to be audacious dreamers. He said that every great thing ever made in this world was a dream which was considered impossible. He said, “You have to pursue your dream with courage, nurture it with firm belief and make it a reality with bold and disciplined action. This is the only way you can make the impossible possible.”
As for the second mantra, the RIL chairman said that the clean energy movement is about adopting a green mindset and it is about being sensitive to nature. “It’s about inventing ways to harness our energy without harming it. It’s about making sure we leave a better and healthier planet for future generations,” he said.
As for digital, Ambani said: “In your mission to make India a clean energy leader, digitization will play the role of a force multiplier.” He said that technologies such as AI, robotics and IoT are powerful drivers of change. “Use them to your advantage. These three mantras will be your weapons in your mission to make India a global clean energy leader,” he said.
