Tamil actor Vijay, also known as Thalapathy Vijay, was recently fined by the Chennai traffic police for violating tinted glass norms. Police fined the actor after videos of the star actor went viral on social media platforms, showing him exiting and entering his car before and after a fan meet held in Panaiyur recently.
Media reports suggest that Vijay was fined Rs 500 by the Chennai Traffic Police for violating the rules of tinted glasses. However, there is still no clarity on whether the police asked him to remove the tint from his car or not.
The Supreme Court has banned the use of tinted glasses. The top court had said that the glasses of the vehicle should be completely transparent. However, many celebrities have been flouting the rules time and again and have tinted their vehicle windows for their privacy. This, according to the apex court, is still a violation of traffic laws.
